Web Developer (Front-end)

We are seeking a Web Developer to join our award-winning interactive studio. Candidate must have a solid understanding of technology's impact on the user experience, and on obtaining strategic business results for our clients. The selected candidate will have primary responsibility for the implementation of the presentation layer of web applications and sites, and ongoing application and site maintenance.

The Web Developer collaborates with the creative team and the Lead Developer to translate visual designs, user experience flows and content into functional and engaging interfaces for client projects. They contribute to the creative process by recommending client-side technology solutions, under the direction of more senior members.

The candidate for this position must be self-motivated, detail oriented (ability to code to design specifications), organized, have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and have a minimum of two years programming experience. A 4-year college/university degree in a related field of study is a plus.

You must be able to accurately create sites from Photoshop comps, slicing graphical elements and hand-coding standards-based CSS and XHTML. Expertise with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, and cross-browser coding techniques required. Experience with Flash/ActionScript, PHP, MySQL, content management systems, and web servers desired.
